Why, and how, does one set off on a solo flight around Africa in a small fabric-covered aircraft?No, I was not trying to break a record. Nor was I seeking media attention, responding to any pressure or request, or even intending to write this book.I flew a Piper Super Cub from Belgium to Israel; from Kenya to South Africa; and from South Africa back to Belgium - alone on board my two-seat vintage airplane from 1967.What truly fuelled my motivation was the spirit of adventure, a passion for travel, stepping beyond my comfort zone, discovering other cultures, and above all, discovering myself.You will see, dear reader, that in truth everything unfolded quite naturally, and events followed on from one another as if by themselves.
